Shanna Moore grew up in the small Arkansas town of Perryville. Growing up, a love of music and dance was instilled in her from a young age. Through the Perryville School District music program under the direction of Steve Collins and the local dance studio, Michelle’s School of Dance, under the direction of Michelle Buie, Shanna’s love of the arts blossomed at an early age and became a driving force in her life.
She received a Bachelors Degree from Arkansas Tech University, a Masters Degree in Secondary Education from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, and a Masters Degree in School Guidance Counseling from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
Shanna’s passion for the arts and education has led her to many successful opportunities. Such as, owning and operating her own dance studio, Studio 83 Dance Company, from 2004-2008. As well as directing many high school musicals, stage productions and theatre dance concerts during her years as a Drama and Theatre Dance Teacher for Pulaski County Special School District 2013-2021. In 2021 Shanna began her journey as a school counselor. She worked at Magazine Schools as the Kindergarten through twelfth grade school counselor from 2021-2024.
In her free time, Shanna teaches adult tap classes at Fort Smith’s Shining Stars Dance Studio. She also enjoys spending time with her three nieces and two nephews. Most afternoons Shanna can be found enjoying some sunshine with Chris and her five year old beagle dog child Penny.
Looking forward to the upcoming school year, Shanna is thrilled to be a part of ICA and the amazing journey ahead!
