Drawing Instructor
Yearbook Coordinator

Originally from Panama, Oklahoma, Kassandra Jiminez has dedicated her life to the arts, education, and inspiring creativity in others. She is excited to begin her second year at the Institute for the Creative Arts High School as a Visual Arts Instructor and to serve as the school's new Yearbook Coordinator. She is passionate about creating a classroom where students feel encouraged to take creative risks, build confidence in their abilities, and discover their own unique artistic voices in an environment that celebrates imagination, growth, and excellence.

Kassandra earned her Associate of General Studies from Carl Albert State College in Poteau, Oklahoma, before continuing her education at the University of Arkansas–Fort Smith, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Music with a minor in Sociology. Her educational background, combined with years of artistic experience, has equipped her with a well-rounded understanding of both creative expression and student development.

A lifelong artist, Kassandra has explored a wide variety of artistic disciplines throughout her career. Her fine arts background includes years of drawing, painting, design, and composition, alongside extensive experience in the performing arts. She has performed leading roles in several operas and theatrical productions throughout the region, experiences that have strengthened her understanding of creativity, discipline, collaboration, and artistic storytelling. Her passion for visual art, which began at a young age, ultimately grew into her own small business specializing in custom artwork, hand-painted murals, signage, apparel, and personalized commissions for individuals, schools, churches, and businesses.

As an educator, Kassandra believes that strong artistic foundations are built through both technical skill and creative exploration. She is committed to helping students develop drawing techniques, observational skills, design principles, and confidence in their own artistic abilities while encouraging them to think critically, solve problems creatively, and express themselves through a variety of visual media. She strives to make her classroom a place where every student—whether an experienced artist or someone picking up a pencil for the first time—feels supported, challenged, and inspired to grow.

Outside of the classroom, Kassandra's greatest joy is being the mother of her son whom inspires her daily to never stop being curious and expand your imagination.

Kassandra is honored to be part of the Institute for the Creative Arts, where creativity is explored, nurtured, and celebrated every day. She looks forward to another exciting school year of encouraging young artists, fostering a lifelong appreciation for the visual arts, and helping students create work they can be proud of while preserving unforgettable memories they will cherish forever.
