Academics

Our college-preparatory program is designed to meet the challenges our students face with our demanding double major in arts and academics. The curriculum is built on the core values of a liberal arts education: inquisitiveness, creativity, and thoughtfulness. Our goal is for students to gain a richer understanding of the world around them.

Math Study Essentials

Mathematics

A strong creative career starts with a strong academic foundation. ICA's math program offers a full college-preparatory sequence — from Algebra I through Pre-Calculus and AP Statistics — equipping students with the critical thinking and problem-solving skills they'll need to thrive in higher education and beyond.

English

Great artists are also great communicators. ICA's English program guides students through a rigorous college-preparatory sequence — from foundational grammar and literature to AP-level composition and rhetoric — while also offering courses in journalism and personal communication that speak directly to the storytelling instincts of creative students.

Science

Understanding the world is part of understanding how to create in it. ICA's science curriculum offers a comprehensive college-preparatory sequence — from Physical Science and Biology to Chemistry, Anatomy & Physiology, Environmental Science, and AP Environmental Science — giving students the scientific literacy and critical thinking skills they'll carry into any career path they choose.

Social Studies

Artists don't create in a vacuum — they create in a world with a history, a government, and an economy. ICA's Social Studies curriculum covers the full scope of that world, from Civics and Personal Finance to U.S. and World History, Arkansas History, and AP-level coursework, giving students the context and perspective they need to be informed, engaged citizens and thoughtful creative professionals.

Through our Support Services under the leadership of the Director of Special Services, we’re able to provide tutoring and mentoring programs, and other assistance through a variety of resources that meet each student at their level.

In addition to supporting our students academically, we’re committed to their artistic and personal development as well. The Department Directors, Guidance Counselor, Director of Special Services, and the staff as a whole work together to ensure that all students receive the guidance and support they need.

Our Team.

The minds behind the academics. Our core subject faculty are dedicated educators who bring rigor, passion, and genuine investment in student success to every classroom — ensuring ICA students are just as prepared for college and life as they are for the stage.
